We are incredibly proud to be certified Cerakote applicators, and to be the top customer rated applicator in the Pacific Northwest on Cerakote's website. We offer an ever expanding selection of colors for our triggers and parts, and we can mix or order just about anything imaginable.
By default, we offer two types of Cerakote finish on our products. The standard Cerakote colors, pictured below....
And the Gun Candy colors....
Both of which are ever expanding, and we will do our best to update these pictures as we add to it.
Cerakote is an awesome coating. It is a baked on ceramic which is incredibly durable, thin, rust proof, and available in any color under the rainbow. We get a lot of questions about durability... basically, anything which will damage the underlying material will hurt the Cerakote. So that's mostly sharp stuff which will cut through the coating and take a gouge out of the metal or plastic underneath. Even then, the edges of the cut area won't peel or flake. If the firearm strikes a blunt object (round rock, concrete floor, etc) it will probably leave a mark on the coating, but you can probably rub it off with your thumb. Repeated wear will eventually cut through the coating (Kydex eats everything), but it takes a long time.
Gun Candy is an additive to Cerakote. This is one of the few times you get to have your cake and eat it too; you get the awesome and unique looks of Gun Candy, with the durability of Cerakote. Essentially a layer of black Cerakote is laid on the part, and then a layer of Cerakote clear (mixed with the Gun Candy) is laid over the top.
Many Gun Candy colors are actually color changing, depending not on your point of view, but how the light hits it. Some are subtle, some are dramatic. We currently offer four colors:
Titan (non color changing, brilliant crimson red)
Caiman (color changing from deep green to gold green)
Kraken (color changing from blue to deep purple, but mostly appears blue)
Razorback (color changing from deep purple, brown, gold, and green)
Because of the added steps and material costs, the Gun Candy colors will always be a little more. Please select the "I choose Gun Candy colors" from the bottom drop down menu, if you picked one of the four Gun Candy colors in the color menu.
Thanks for looking, and let us know if you have any other questions!
