Cerakote is a baked on ceramic finish which is hands down the most durable finish available for firearms. It's significantly more durable than bluing, or the factory paint that Ruger applies to the 'blued' receivers. Another plus is that it's completely impervious to the elements. Obviously you still need to take care of the bore and the other internals, but no more worrying about a little rain.
Feel free to ship any of these parts along with your trigger when you are getting trigger work to save on shipping overall! The options listed below are our most popular colors and combinations, but we literally get the whole gambit of requests. Feel free to call if you have any questions! (360) 210-5403.
This is the part which holds the trigger, and fits into the receiver with those two pins. It's what you are removing and shipping to us when you have trigger work done. We do not have the trigger as an option, since on our Tier 2 and 1 trigger jobs we are already coating the triggers, and they are available in all our standard Cerakote colors. It's unfortunately not worth anyone's time or money to Cerakote just a factory trigger, so we recommend (if you want a colored trigger) just saving your money and jumping to a Tier 2 trigger job. You'll get the custom color, and you'll get a much better feeling trigger job.
The receiver is just that. We generally don't recommend coating the inside of the receiver since it makes the gun feel a little 'sluggish' when cycling. It will eventually break in, and run like a champ, but be ready to apply lubricant to get it through that break in process. If you want us to coat the inside, we can do that. Just make a note of it when you ship it in. However we also do not mask of the inside, We do NOT coat the barrel hole.
The barrel is obviously the barrel. If you just want the barrel coated, please pull the barrel and ship only that. If you are getting the receiver coated as well, you can leave them attached and we will do the tear down.
We can coat pretty much any kind of stock, including wood. We even have a Cerakote clear coat which has a slightly satin finish, and is excellent for a hunting rifle. NOTE: if your stock has any kind of applied camo finish, such as hydro dipping or a laid on vinyl, we WILL NOT coat it! That stuff flakes off when you don't want it to, but it is incredibly difficult to strip when you want it to come off....
The full action is the barrel, receiver, and trigger housing, NOT the stock or any internals. This is probably our most popular option. This price is for one color on all parts listed. If you want multiple colors or any kind of pattern, call for a quote.
