So you want to SBR your own 10/22. That's awesome! We fully endorse that decision, because SBR'd 10/22's are some of our favorite 10/22's.

Look, as the owner of Brimstone Gunsmithing, I have a lot of guns. We have some full-autos, we have suppressed 44Mag lever actions, we have straight up weird stuff, we've got 1000 yd tack-drivers... but at the end of the week, the suppressed little 22's are the ones that come home with me. It's hard to have more fun legally than you can have with stapler-quiet, cheap to shoot, accurate firearms.

We already offer a variety of barrel work including cutting and threading, and we hope to launch a line of our own barrels soon. But NFA engraving is a touchy thing. Most gunsmiths don't have engraving machines, and most engravers know nothing about guns. We, however, have both.

We engrave 10/22's right behind the ejection port, since the other side is all taken up with the Ruger stuff. We will engrave it small, cleanly, and to at least .007" deep; over twice the ATF required minimum.

Since raw machining rarely looks good on a finished firearm, we also offer a discount on Cerakote work if you get it done at the same time. Just select, 'Yes I'm getting Cerakote work' from the drop down menu, and then purchase some kind of Cerakote which will cover the receiver; either the receiver only, barreled action only, or the full firearm. (Obviously, if you purchase the discounted engraving, and then Cerakote the trigger housing only, we aren't doing that....)

IMPORTANT: If you want us to engrave your receiver, you need to send us a COPY of your Form 1. (Please, please, don't send us the original...) It doesn't need to be approved yet, if you are confident that it will be approved, but we do need a copy of it. We would hate to engrave the wrong info because of a typo somewhere.

Conversely, if you want us to cut down ANY barrel shorter than 16", we MUST have a copy of your approved Form 1 in hand. That's not our idea, that's the ATF's very clear statement to us. But we can engrave anything you want on your receiver, so that it's all ready to go when your tax stamp comes in.

We are SilencerShop dealers with their Kiosk, and highly recommend working with them for all your Form 1 needs. They do an amazing job at an incredible price.

NFA stuff is incredibly complicated, don't hesitate to send us an email or call if you have any other questions!
